What's in a name

The font is a little difficult to produce but well worth the effort. The size of this panel is 31 3/4" x 10 1/4". I can hand this down to my daughter one day and so on.

Custom Diamond Design

I worked with a local general contractor and their client on the design to fit their existing framed openings. These were built for a new house construction. The colors and design were based from an existing stained glass work the client already had. The design and colors were to be the same with some differences between them.

DNA

DNA design was a piece I helped my daughter with for a science project. By the way she made a 100 for the project grade. We let the teacher keep it to display in her classroom.

Church Window

This project I made for a local Church. The size of the piece is 3 feet diameter.

Cattails

This project is special to me. I built this for a house-warming gift for a lady I worked with. It was going to be a surprise for her; she had been very supportive to me in pursuing the stained glass art. Before her new house was finished, she passed away unexpectedly. She never knew about the piece I was working on for her. After finishing the glass work, I still wanted her family to have it and put it in the framed opening it was designed to fit.

The Sunflower

The sunflower with cardinal was a piece designed for a client to give their spouse for a gift.

Oreo

This is Oreo, our cat. I used a photo as a guide in the construction of this piece.

Cross

This cross is constructed using the traditional style lead came with glazing compound.

Cross Heart Rose

This project I enjoyed working on for a friend of mine, this piece is not my design but one my friend had picked out for his family.

Man In The Moon

This piece was done back in 2004 for some friends of mine. During this time they were expecting their first child, John Michael. I really wanted to surprise them with this as a gift for John Michael's room when he arrived. So the race begins!! Now the couple wants me to modify this piece so it will fit a framed opening in their house, which can be done very easily.

Flowers

This project was made for a client that was to be given as a Christmas gift for their mother. But by the time Christmas arrived they had a change of heart and decided to keep the piece for themselves. I'm glad they enjoy the work I've done. This is just one of the reasons I like designing and building art from stained glass and seeing the reactions of the clients to the completed projects.

Diamond Burst

The diamond burst design is simple but elegant using the traditional style. Just goes to show that the complexity of a project could actually impair the design. In other words, keep it simple.

The Magnolia

The magnolia design I used the Tiffiny style technique. The size of this piece is 20 3/4" x 15 3/4". I was inspired after growing up in the north central part of Mississippi, Go Rebels!!!

Wild Horses

This project I built from a photo for a client's window during the remodeling of their house. This piece is about 4 feet by 3 feet to fit an existing framed opening. Everyone was well pleased with it. I really would have liked to have kept this one for myself. I could build another one but change it up a little; I only build one of each design because it makes each stained glass piece a more personal experience.

Compass with Ring of Rope

This is a nautical design I thought would look great using stained glass. I used the traditional style; this consists of lead came and glazing compound to construct the design. The glass work is 26 3/4" diameter.
